Background:

Amy and I met while working together in student organizations at Texas Tech University. We shared common thoughts in diligent work ethics, creativity, and resource sharing. Upon college graduation, we went to work for the same company, in outside sales, for two years. Amy has interest in research, design, and marketing, while I tend to the financial and construction management aspects of our projects.

In February 2003, we joined forces with our families and developed a multi-family housing neighborhood in Lubbock, Texas, near Texas Tech. I partnered with a builder, who taught me the logistics and technology of the building business. I managed the project, which we completed in July 2004 as a 300- unit complex. This was the best training I could have asked for in such a career.

Upon completion of the multi-family development, we formed Joel Wisian Construction, with which we developed five acres of residential land, built six custom homes, and nine speculation homes in 2004 and 2005. We truly enjoy every aspect of the construction process, from conception to design, and financing to fixture placement.

Upon the timely sale of our holdings in Lubbock, we moved to Ardmore in May 2006 when our first child, Wyatt, was six months old. We have built 60 custom homes in 3½ years. We developed Phase II of Hickory Ridge and are currently developing Phase III.

We have two children, Wyatt and Macy Mae, and live north of Ardmore. Our time is spent working, playing with our children, and volunteering. We love the outdoors and have enjoyed instilling that love of nature in our children as well.
